Maryland Sweeps 2018 I/I Nationals
March 25 & April 15, 2018 ~ Six Maryland Polo Club youth members and Coach member were part of a National winning sweep this Spring as they competed in the 2018 USPA I/I National Championships. Pictured here (left to right): Abbie Grant, Maddie Grant, Catie Stueck, Sophie Grant, Coach Kelly Wells, Parker Pearce, Brennan Wells, (Jack McLean, non-member)(Aiden Tydings, non-member, not pictured) are the Maryland Polo Interscholastic teams which play out of Marlan Farms under Kelly Wells. The Girls team and the Open team have had the unique experience of playing together for five years. On March 25, the Open team won a competitive tournament at Cornell University’s Oxley Arena. One month later on April 15, the Girls team had a tremendous win at UVA’s arena in Charlottesville, Virginia. This truly is an example of the talent our club produces, hours of practice, and devotion Kelly Wells puts into her players.
